Architecture principles

This page defines the core principles of the Caribbean Healthcare Interoperability Architecture. These principles guide design decisions, ensure consistency across the architecture, and support cross-border healthcare interoperability. They are intended to provide value for all stakeholders involved.

In these principles, "we" refers to the countries and organisations that take part in cross-border healthcare exchange. The principles are guidelines, not hard rules: they follow the apply or explain approach, so a deviation is allowed when it is justified and documented.
